The Moors and Christians festivals are a spectacle of noise, colour and tradition, with spectacular costumes, marching processions, battle re-enactments and fireworks. It celebrates the centuries old battles between the Moorish invaders and the Christians, and is a must see for visitors and residents alike.

The three best Moors and Christians festivals in the Valencian community take place in Villajoyosa, Alcoy and Altea. The festivities are due to take place in Altea, between 20-24 September 2024 .
